It never fails to amaze me how children shine when they are very much involved in their own learning. I have always believed that children should get excited with learning and they only do that when they have fun while learning. When they like learning then they become self-motivated. When they are self-motivated then they become independent leaners. Teaching them to become independent learners has been my ultimate goal all these years.
Along these years, I have had the opportunity to work in many educational institutions. I have learned that it is a must for the learners to be involved in their learning. As an educator, I not only aim at providing education, but also in developing respectful, matured and caring individuals throughout their learning process. I, for one am a firm believer that education and character development must happen at the same time. As Martin Luther King Jr. said “Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.”
I chose to be a teacher because every child needs someone to believe in them, and that they will be given the opportunity to shine with their strengths as well as their existence cherished in this world as individuals with different uniqueness and personality along with different level of understanding. That is what I have aimed for and will aim if I am given the opportunity to join your team.
My expertise lies in teaching English, learning difficulties and behaviour modification. I tend to not give up easily and that is a positive trait that one needs while working with children because when one method fails then I try another and another until I have reached my goal. That is how I have learnt a plenty of strategies in addressing the needs of many children.
