Diberi 2 titik K(-1,6) dan P(3,2). Cari persamaan  y = mx + c yang melalui 2 titik tersebut.

Penyelesaian I:
Guna formula.

 Y - Y1
 X - X
  =
 Y2 - Y1
 X2 - X1

Masukkan koordinat titik K dan P ke dalam formula:

 y - 2
x - 3
  =
 2 - 6
 3 - (-1)

 y - 2
 x - 3
  =
-4
 4

      y - 2   =  -1(x - 3)

      y - 2   =  3 - x

         y = -x + 5

Penyelesaian II:
Cari m dan c secara berasingan.
     Kecerunan, m  =
 2 - 6
 3 - (-1)
  =  -1

     Oleh itu,   y = -x + c

Ganti masuk koordinat salah satu titik:

     6  =  -(-1) + c

     c  =  6 - 1 =  5

        y = -x + 5

Also

Penyelesaian III:

now we've know that Kecerunan, m  =
 2 - 6
 3 - (-1)
  =  -1

simply choose between one of the coordinates:

ok i'll try K(-1,6)

by using this formula : y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-6=-1[x-(-1)]

y-6=-x-1

 y=-x+5

next i'll try P(3,2)

y-2=-1(x-3)

y-2=-x+3

 y=-x+5

P/S: I recommend this formula to be used in both Add Math and Modern Math because its ideal to find the answer with just as least as m and one coordinate.
