1 day, 4 gardeners and 4 helpers earned $360. On another day, working the same hours and same rate of pay, 5 gardeners and 6 helpers made $480. How much does a gardener and a helper make?

Due to the fact the gardeners and helpers working the same hours and same rate of pay. For the first day, each gardener and each helper makes $360  (4 + 4) = $360  8 = $$$.

Similarly, for the next day, each gardener and each helper makes $480  (5 + 6) = $480  11 = $$$.

In our real life, this problem is not a case! Don't you think?

Hope this helps!

prove:cos4x cosx+ sin4x sinx=cos2x cosx- sin2x sinx

Use Cos(A-B)=CosAcosB+SinASinB

and Cos(A+B)=CosAcosB-SinASinB

So, LHS: cos4x cosx+ sin4x sinx=Cos(4x-x)=Cos3x

and RHS: cos2x cosx- sin2x sinx=Cos(2x+x)=Cos3x

Hence the proof.

In my opinion, (4X + 4Y = $360) x 5  20X + 20Y = $1800 -----(1)

                    (5X + 6Y = $480) x 4  20X + 24 Y = $1920 ------(2)

(2) - (1),  4Y = 120                      4X + 4(30) = $360

                 Y = $ 30                               X = $ 60

Hope my solution still help u.......:)
