f(x)= x

or y=x.......... now taking values of x as 1,2,3,4, etc we get the value of y as 1,4,9,16, respectively.

so we have ordered pair like (1,1),(2,4),(3,9).........

so x values are called domain which are 1,2,3... and y values are called range which are 1,4,9....

DID U GET IT? If not pls pm me. i will explain again
