             17n = 134

                n  = 134 / 17

                   =  7.8823529411764705882352941176471

This is linear equation - algebra

I feel the above solution is wrong. The correct solution is as follows:

nx(10+7)=(8X10)+(8X7)

or,nx(10+7) = 8( 10+7)

or nx17= 8x17

0r n=8

gayatri u also made mistake 134/17 is not equal to 8 infact its equal to 7.88235...... wat hardy wrote.

actually mistake made by hardy lies in the first line where hardy added 80+54 where as it should be 80+56. that was the mistake made by hardy.
