Established in 1989 by Mr. Ummar Abdullah (then a graduate teacher in SMK Jalan Bukit ), Mewah Tuition Centre has grown from its humble beginnings with an initial enrolment of just 40-50 students to its current strength of 800 students, comprising of primary and secondary students from all the major schools in town.

Throughout these years the students at this center have obtained excellent results culminating in 46 UPSR students obtaining 4A & 5A and 76 PMR students obtaining more than 6A’s in the year 2002 government exams. In the same year Mewah Tuition Centre produced the best SPM results in Kajang for Physics, Chemistry and Additional Mathematics.

Besides the main centre which is located behind SMJK Convent Kajang, there are two other branches, one in Jalan S10/3, Kajang and the other at Jalan 11, Taman Bukit Mewah, Kajang.
